Kyle Dutcher (better known as Push)

The Inspiration

Kyle Dutcher (better known as Push) began his journey in the mid 2000s making a name for himself in the heart of the Atlanta skate culture. After observing a group of young people performing dance moves on roller skates, at 26 years old, Push decided to revisit his childhood pastime of roller skating. Push was determined to hone his craft with precision. Influenced by the ATL skate style and the JB style of the mid-west, Push blends silky rhythmic dance moves with a hypnotically smooth glide that is true poetry in motion. JB skating originated in Chicago as skaters grooved to the soulful sounds of the "Godfather of Soul," James Brown. After learning that the ladies at his local rink were drawn to a slower style of skating, Push set out to create a unique style of his own.

Gone Viral

In 2019, a video of Push and his crew performing one of his signature moves went viral prompting a reaction video by All Def Digital comedian, Tahir Moore. This same video was later posted by larger social media platforms like The Shade Room and D.L. Hughley . Push became an instant social media sensation racking up hundreds of millions of views and gaining thousands of followers. He has since trained celebrities likes Usher, Sherri Shepherd, and Jermaine Dupri even engaging in a friendly skate rivalry online with Shaquille O'Neal. The two were photographed together in Atlanta.

As Seen On T.V.

Push is a Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) member with his talents being featured in the first Apple iPod Commercial and America’s Got Talent. He also served as a consultant and roller skater in the cult classic movie “ATL” as part of the skate crew, “The Preps.” In early 2020 he delivered what may be the most memorable and controversial episode on Season 2 of Wife Swap on the Paramount Network. In true Push fashion, he won over visiting wife’s favor by taking her to the skating rink.

Keep Pushing

In 2020 Push inked a deal with Charlotte, North Carolina, based talent management agency, KXNGPXN Skating Alliance. Since Push has done work with Nike, Ocean Spray and has secured endorsements with several fashion brands . He continues to lend his skating talents performing at celebrity parties, skating in music videos, and hosting skate workshops across the country teaching. His Kick Glide Skate Workshop has become the premier group skate lesson in Atlanta. In 2022 Push launched his very own skate brand, Nostalgia, and joined the Silver Fox Squad as an official member. The Squad made an appearance at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. With his eyes set on cementing his legacy and inspiring the next generation of roller skaters Push is determined to KEEP PUSHING!
